Tabletop Simulator is a hard game to review. It’s a sandbox, but not in the traditional sense. Rather, someone should approach it as a platform, a facilitator of other sorts of games. As such, it’s difficult to speak in absolutes. “You should absolutely buy this!” and “Avoid this!” aren’t options here. It’s easier to put it like this. If you love unplugged, board games, enjoy playing them or creating them, but don’t have a local means of doing so with people whose company you enjoy, then Tabletop Simulator should be in your library.

Welcome to the table

The first thing Tabletop Simulator does upon inviting a player into what is likely a virtual den is introduce all the control schemes. There are many controls for the platform, fitting board, card, and tabletop RPG needs.
